Curled up on the couch, Alanna leafs through her last book on Atlantis. Over the last few hours, she's become something of an expert on the subject. That doesn't mean, however, that she doesn't look up every now and then and wonder when Adam will return. They have much to discuss.
She glances at the door and sighs, reaching for the apple and cinnamon tea near at hand. It's possible she spends more time smelling it than drinking.

Questions can wait a minute or two.

"I'm home."

He pauses, seeming to think about that, and grins as he kisses her once more.
"Yeah."
It's more calm, more confident the second time.
"You've got one less thing to worry about."
no subject
Puzzled, yes, but she can't help smiling in return.
no subject
He blinks, and eyes her suspiciously.
"I meant Blodwen."
no subject
"Blodwen? What did she do? What did YOU do?"
She chews on her lip nervously.
no subject
It's said defensively at first, but he looks her in the eye, and repeats it.
"Raven and some others, I'm not sure exactly what happened."
no subject
"Sorry. Hearing that you and Blodwen were even in the same vicinity gives me automatic heart palpitations." Another kiss. "But something happened? And I don't have to worry about her anymore?"
no subject
"She's- normal. I think. I'm pretty sure, I mean."
no subject
"There's nothing normal about her."
no subject
she's not powerful, anymore."
no subject
"Well, that's an option that hadn't occurred to me."
There's questions of how and who and when, but she suspects the answers might be even more confusing than the questions. Instead of asking them, she gives him a bright smile.
"You're right. That's excellent news."
Grinning, she half pounces, half hugs him.
no subject
"What was that about Mike again?"
no subject
(Blodwen's powerless, Blodwen's powerless, Blodwen's powerless)
"Oh! Mike. Goddess, poor Mike. But I think I actually quit!"
no subject
. . . .
. . . . . . . .
"Really?"
no subject
She starts to blush.
"I definitely made my intentions known."
no subject
"I'm proud of you."
no subject
"It requires explanation. When I got up to feed the animals this morning, I found Mike attempting to blend into the mural. I've never seen him look like that." She swallows, obviously concerned. "Apparently Bar somehow switched from Bernard to Mike."
no subject
wait, what?"
no subject
"Aye, that was much my reaction. I can't pretend to understand. We have no idea if it's temporary or permanent, but it seems as if Mike is currently head barman."
no subject
"I guess we'll just-
wow."
no subject
"He said he thought he's my boss now, and in the same breath, asked for my help. Of course I promised to help him, but I had to be honest with him as well. I had to tell him. All those times I tried to imagine how I could possibly tell Bernard, and it just tumbled out. I suppose because I made my promises to Bernard, not Mike. But I told him I can't be head of security much longer. I told him we might have a baby."
Saying it aloud sends a delightful shiver down her spine.
no subject
He grins, and kisses her.
"Saying it seems so..."
Another kiss, then.
