OOC: Random character observations
Alanna wonders about her mother all the time. She has never told anyone just how much she wishes she could have known her.
Alanna also wishes she could speak with her father and ask him why. Why he shunned the living for the dead. Why he preferred books to people. Why she never felt good enough for him.
She really wants to ask him if he's at all proud of what she has become.
It's possible that Alanna has long feared love because she watched the emotion destroy her father. For most of her life, she saw him as a shell of a man. She was determined never to end up like that, which is why she spent her training proclaiming that she would set off on grand adventures once she won her shield. Despite the fact that she is very obviously soft hearted and attached to her friends, she insisted that loving involves giving too much of yourself away, and she had fought too hard to get ahead for that to happen.
Losing Thom, Liam and Faithful all in one day skewed her views on love tremendously.
Alanna has a fierce temper. She rarely lets it out, but when she does, it's explosive. However, there are several sure ways to get her spitting mad -- Threaten someone she loves, either with deeds or words. Tell her women aren't as capable as men. Cheat.
The more you tell Alanna she can't do something, the more determined she is to do it. And she won't quit until she either succeeds or dies.
She likes wearing dresses.
Alanna still dreams about Roger. The dreams are becoming progressively more insane. She doesn't sleep very much.
Alanna once tried to use her Gift to change her eye color. It knocked her out for two days.
Whenever she gets upset, she thinks about cutting her hair.
She has a tendency to adoptAv's characters people and consider them extended family. Although she would never admit it, this is mostly due to her feelings of failure in regards to Thom.
Alanna is approximately five minutes older than Thom. She arrived in the world hollering her wee lungs out, whereas Thom blinked and looked around with apparent disdain.
She is extremely ticklish in all the usual places except her feet, which are always freezing.
Alanna cried for an hour the night Alex broke her collarbone, and not because of the pain. When she cries, it's usually due to sheer frustration. Or happiness. But don't ever let her know that you noticed happy tears.
Angel hit the proverbial nail on the head. George scares her to death. He knows her too well, and she's not entirely comfortable with the idea that she can't hide things from him.
She feels guilty about her relationship with Liam Ironarm. She doesn't necessarily regret it, but she feels guilty.
She likes to watch Peter sleep sometimes. It relaxes her and helps her think.
If someone gave her truth serum, the very first person she would think to use it on would be Thom. It's the things he doesn't say that she's interested in... the answers to the questions he evades.
She wants to ask Thom whether he would choose her or Roger if such a choice had to be made.
Contrary to popular belief, Alanna does not have 80's hair.She is Purple Zogg. Fear.
