*It's two o'clock on Sunday afternoon. There's nothing particularly remarkable about this afternoon in comparison to others. The winter sun shines brightly off the snow and frozen lake, and every now and then a sharp crack sounds from the forest when a weak limb collapses under the weight of fresh snow.
Other than that, it's quiet. Perhaps too quiet.
The patio has been cleared, and as promised in the invitation, refreshments and a warm fire await.
Lucy and Alanna, however, do not. Or do they?
All shall reveal itself in time.*

Perhaps it is good that none of her enemies have ever assaulted her with the aid of laughing gas.*
The best

*She scoops snow with both of her arms and flings it at him.*
Birds like snow!

This is, perhaps, a mistake.

Oooh, snowman!Raven.
Alanna rolls to her feet and mashes a handful of snow on his head.*

Then he shoves a second one down the back of her shirt.

So, SO cold.
Shivering, Alanna lets out an indignant squawk and shakes the back of her sweater as she spits out snow.*
Raven! Cold. *She giggles.* That squeak sounded familiar.

Raven twitches, more than faintly.
It gives the impression of a bird shaking off water.
Or snow.
And then he left hand shoots out, tossing another loosely packed snowball at her.

*hands on hips* You left a note, you see. Sparrow and Raven. Clever drawing.

He grins, arms hanging loosely at his sides.
"So is Sparrow, I think. I like him. You object to the sea urchin?"
He looks concerned, then.
"I hope you did not tell it that, perhaps. Their weeping is remarkably piercing."

*She giggles, packing more snow together. It's starting to look a bit like a snowman.
A drunk snowman with a proportion problem, but definitely a snowman.*
I think Adam might have words with you over Seafoam. He is under the impression that we do not need more pets.
