*After speaking with Raven and Jack, Alanna feels an almost overwhelming need to find Adam. Whether to cheer him up, assure herself that he's okay or just sit and talk, she's not sure. Pushing open the door to their quarters, she takes off her hat and tosses it on the table.*
Adam...? I'm back.
Adam...? I'm back.

I missed you.
no subject
I missed you. *She leans over to kiss his forehead and goes back to changing.* What are cataracts?
no subject
Something with your eyes. Not quite sure entirely. Why?
no subject
*Seemingly undisturbed by this, she kicks off her pants and unlaces her shirt, digging through the closet for something to sleep in. As usual, one of his shirts wins.*
Poor man. I gave him quite a shock.

Most people aren't used to seeing purple eyes, you know.
no subject
Aye, I do. I don't think he believed me when I said I'd had them from birth.
*She tilts her head, giving him an assessing look. Or is it mischievous? Perhaps both. At any rate, she giggles, runs and launches herself on the bed (and him) with a flying leap.*

You're awfully energetic tonight.

*She kisses him again, settling down.*

*He nods. and then winks.*
As much as I can when you're stuck doing work. Talked to Jon, actually.
no subject
Payback, I suspect.
*Biting her lip, she searches his eyes.* Everything all right?
no subject
Or perhaps if you weren't working so much...
*He shakes it off, all smiles again.*
I fear I may have committed myself to some attrocious job. He promised her would most likely not use me as the Royal Punching Bag, though.
no subject
No, I think Gary is firmly ensconced in that spot, and he loves it.
*More than a little surprised, she blinks at him.*
Atrocious job?
no subject
He told me, if I wanted, there was work for me. Other than that, it was a bit vague. Though he did make me promise to convince you to start brewing cider with the apples at Olau first.
no subject
He has a home there now whether he likes it or not.*
We already do, just not the cider you know and love. *She drops her voice to a husky whisper.* I like yours better.
Mithros.
Adam, would you want that? Don't feel as if you have to say yes.
no subject
I'm pretty sure I already agreed to it.
no subject
Well, then. Looks like you are well and truly stuck. He is King, after all. It wouldn't do to anger him.
That's my job.
no subject
How was your day?
no subject
It was okay. I talked to Raven. And, um.
Jack.
no subject
Jack's back, is he?
no subject
Aye.
I apologized for what happened last time. *She smiles, running her hand down his arm to his wrist.* He told me that blood oaths are serious matters.
no subject
*He settles in against her. Where he'd expect such conversation to provoke fear or, at the very least, nerves, it instead fills him with a sense of warmth and belonging.*
no subject
That is essentially how I replied. I'm just glad that it seems we can still be friends. In truth, I think he'd mostly forgotten about it all.
*Wrinkling her nose, Alanna wonders why that doesn't prick her pride as it should. Of course, the man she's currently wrapped around is answer enough.*
I've been sitting on some good news since last night, however.

*Lifting her head, Alanna moves up a bit and brushes his lips with hers, hovering there as she speaks.*
Myles came in last night. We spoke, and although he regretted not being there, I think he understands. And he seems honestly pleased that we want to get more involved at Olau, especially if it means he will see more of us than he might otherwise.
no subject
That's-
wow.

*There's a wealth of love, happiness and peace in her eyes as she looks into his for a moment. Liking what she sees, she laughs softly and winds her arms around him again, holding him close as she kisses him back.*
You know what I love? That no matter what else happens, we always have somewhere to go.
no subject
*He kisses her again, before she has a chance to answer.*
You.
