[OOC: Post this.]
*Alanna gently tugs on Adam's hand, standing aside and letting him open the front door lest they end up in the cellar of the Dancing Dove. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, smiling at him as they exit into the hallway before Crowley's flat. Eyebrow quirked, she turns around and stares at the wall, shaking her head.*
I wish I could do that.

It's not-
*He shakes his head and smiles, letting them into the flat.*
s'nothing.
*He gestures over to the couch as he heads into the kitchen.*
Make yourself comfortable.
no subject
He did say to make herself comfortable.*
no subject
First you drink. Then you nap.
no subject
Oh. Okay. *She takes a small sip and looks up at him.* What about you?
no subject
*He smiles, and takes a sip to demonstrate, wondering where, exactly, it was that he left his books, and hoping Alanna doesn't see them.*
no subject
I think you need a nap as well.
no subject
I'll nap, too.
*It's almost convincing, even.*

*Her mouth goes dry, but the thought of drinking any more water makes her stomach turn. She sets the glass on a table and stares at her hands.*
You don't have to. But I... I'd like you there. If you wanted.
Because I'm not...
*She closes her eyes, feeling her face flood with color.*
no subject
You're not what?
no subject
*It took a lot to admit that. She pulls her knees up and rests her chin on them, trying to make herself smaller.*
no subject
It has, hasn't it?
no subject
*Alanna breathes, lifting her head and watching him with wide eyes.*
Did I... do something? *Biting her lip, she reaches over to touch him.* You seem... sad, almost. Like you're holding something back.
*She sighs, wondering what Adam would do or say if he knew how much she was holding back. Right now, all she wants to do is get as close to him as possible, but she's... nervous.
And blaming it on lack of sleep.*
no subject
No, you haven't done anything. You're-
great.
no subject
You're wonderful. I missed you. I had this long mental list of things I wanted to tell you, and of course now it has all flown right out the window.

Shhh, you're okay.

*She tucks his hair behind his ear, eyes searching his.*
Are you? Really?
no subject
I am.
no subject
But she won't push him.
Her expression softens as she takes a breath and wraps his hand in hers. Looking around, she nods.*
You know, Mordred didn't seem all that bad in comparison to what I've heard. *Nope, still not looking at him.* We had only spoken once before.
no subject
Oh?
*Not pushing, either.*
no subject
He asked me if I was seeing anyone. I told him yes. He asked me who, and I told him.
Just so you know.
*She holds her breath.*

I know you don't get along. I guess I should have kept it to myself and let you tell him if at all, but we did say... and... *She sighs.* I'm sorry.
He told me something too, but I suspect it was for shock value, as he immediately stood and walked away.
no subject
I guess I shouldn't really be surprised that he told you.
No, we don't get along. Never have, really. Even before-
that.
