[OOC: Post this.]
*The thin, silky draperies in Alanna's room do very little to block out the sun. Although deep red and gold in color, the cloth itself is light and airy, designed for life in the desert. Alanna had meant to make a dress out of it, but felt it would be better (not to mention more often) admired adorning her windows. Sunlight easily seeps through the thin barrier, regularly casting a rosy glow over the room.
Ordinarily, she likes to wake up to brightness. Today, however, she could cheerfully stay cocooned in darkness where she is for quite a bit longer. Arm thrown across Adam, legs tangled up with his and head on his shoulder, Alanna wakes slowly, reluctantly. She's very comfortable.
Myles takes exception to her continued repose and jumps up behind her, walking across Adam's arm and launching a vigorous attack on Alanna's hair. She mumbles something and swats at him.*

Morning.
*He keeps his voice low, as if talking out loud would somehow ruin the moment, take them someplace else.*
no subject
Shhhh. I don't want to wake up yet.
*Opening one eye, she smiles at him and burrows closer to his solid warmth. Myles meows quietly and bats at a strand of red hair. He continues to be ignored. Alanna mentally promises to make it up to him later.*

Don't worry, it's not actually morning.

*Alanna stares at his neck, experimentally exhaling against his skin and then kissing the same spot.
She blushes, quickly closing her eyes again. Still asleep. Yes.*

We should probably just stay here. Safer, anyway.
*Taking his hand from her hair, he runs it down her side lightly, tickling.*
no subject
Safer, warmer, quieter. Oh, Mithros...
*Alanna makes a startled sound and squeezes Adam's side, giggling helplessly.*
I'm not sure I wanted you to know I'm ticklish. Might prove dangerous.

*He raises an eyebrow and grins wickedly, tickling her side fiercely.*
Maybe we'll just stay here forever.

*She makes a valiant effort to stay still, biting her lip and wrinkling her nose as his hand moves. This is all to no avail. Seconds after he starts tickling, Alanna flails, retaliating as best she can while laughing rather hard.*
Oh, Gods... Adam. *She wheezes.* Had my Ordeal included tickling, I'm not sure I could have remained quiet. Ah, brought low by tickling. My dignity will never recover.
*Redoubling her efforts, she rolls over him, grins wickedly and tickles his other side.*
Sounds delightful to me.

*He yells and laughs, scrambling at her with his hands until he can wrap them around her and hold her arms to her side, leaning up to kiss her.*

*Eyes bright with mischief, she keeps at it, tickling and struggling, until he kisses her. Her arms go lax for a moment, then wind around him, holding him close. Flushed and more than a little flustered, she pulls back with a smile.*
Just remember - I'll fight back.

*He leans back against the pillow, just smiling and letting the happiness wash over him.*
S'nice.

*She trails her fingertips up his side.* Okay, possibly a bit evil. At least I've not yet tried to dunk you in the lake?
*Lips twitching, she settles next to him and watches his face.*
Very nice. I might decide to forget about today entirely.

Maybe you're simply waiting until I teach you to swim, in case I try to do the same to you.

*Alanna lifts her gaze to his, smiling. A thought flits through her head and arrives on the tip of her tongue, but she bites her lip before speaking. She doesn't want him to take it the wrong way. Instead, she brushes his hair back and searches his eyes, thinking the words she doesn't feel comfortable saying.
It means a great deal to me that even though we didn't sleep together, you are still here.
That's not to say that I don't wa...Goddess.
Coughing, Alanna halts that thought right there and leans down to hug him again.*

Are you okay?
no subject
Yes. Are you?
*Rather than move her hands, she blows a piece of hair off her forehead.*

*He leans up to place a small kiss on her nose.*

*Falling quiet, Alanna closes her eyes and lets herself relax. Before long, she drifts off again.*
